LONAS mattress toppers – for an even more comfortable sleep

A mattress topper is like a thinner version of a mattress designed to elevate the comfort of your sleep to a higher level. It adapts to your body and adjusts the properties of your sleeping surface by softening, firming, compensating for surface irregularities, or the feeling of a gap on a sofa-bed. It is also a smart solution for creating temporary sleeping arrangements for guests. Thus, it is the most optimal and financially efficient option to improve sleep quality.

LONAS mattress toppers combine innovative materials and meticulous handcraft to provide even more freedom for those looking for individual solutions to enhance their sleeping surface. A mattress topper can be both a temporary and a long-term solution. We use only the highest quality materials in production, and the craftsmanship of our artisans ensures durability and efficiency. Our toppers perform efficiently on both sides – they adapt to the irregularities of the mattress surface, neutralizing or softening them, and to the body contours, providing stability and comfort during sleep.

Which mattress toppers are the best?

Sleep quality depends on many objective and subjective factors. Therefore, the best mattress toppers are those that meet the individual sleep habits and needs of the person. These are exactly the types of LONAS mattress toppers, created to make sleep even more pleasant and comfortable.

When choosing a mattress topper, we recommend considering a few essential selection criteria. Your answers will help refine the type and material of the topper that would suit you best. Think about whether you prefer a softer or firmer sleep surface? Do you tend to sweat during sleep? Is it difficult to find a comfortable sleeping position? What size do you need? Regardless of the outcome of your answers, you will find a topper with the desired properties in the categories of the most popular (easily matching standard beds) or non-standard dimensions.

Mattress topper sizes

LONAS mattress toppers are designed to fit standard mattress sizes, so there will be no discomfort either matching them with your existing LONAS mattress or any other standard size product. If you have specific needs and non-standard size preferences, we also offer non-standard mattress toppers, which can be made smaller than the smallest standard size or larger than the largest standard size.

Meanwhile, standard sizes are designed to match the usual dimensions of single and double mattresses and beds. Single mattress surfaces are suited for 90x200 and 80x200 mattress toppers. The selected 120x200 mattress topper can be used as a single or double depending on the intended application. For double mattress surfaces, our sizes include narrower double 140x200, medium 160x200, and wider 180x200 mattress toppers. All of them come with straps for attachment, so no matter the size, each will be easily secured to the mattress.

Types of mattress toppers and their features

When choosing a mattress topper, the first thing to consider is what functions you expect from it, i.e., whether you want to add more softness or firmness to your existing sleeping surface? This will determine the type of product that will solve your sleep discomforts. Based on this, we classify our mattress toppers. We offer a unique collection of LONAS mattress toppers designed for both softening and firming. This collection includes viscoelastic and polyurethane foam mattress toppers made with Memospace® and Lono-Tec® materials, which provide specific properties.

Softening mattress toppers will compensate for deeper mattress or bed indentations, reduce discomfort from the gap in a sofa-bed, and are perfect for creating temporary sleeping arrangements for guests. Soft viscoelastic toppers are made using Memospace® material, which adapts perfectly to the body’s curves and body temperature. They are designed for greater softening and compensating for more prominent irregularities. Smaller irregularities can be smoothed out with mattress toppers made of eco-friendly polyurethane foam and Lono-Tec® material, offering a lighter softening effect.

Firming mattress toppers will smooth out irregularities on the sleeping surface from one side and add more firmness and support on the side you sleep on. Firm mattress toppers are made from high-density Lono-Tec® material and polyurethane foam, with additional profiling on the surface. The combination of these materials provides excellent body support. Polyurethane foam mattress toppers help distribute body weight more evenly, relax muscles, and relieve joint pressure. This material is also suitable for those who tend to sweat during sleep, as Lono-Tec® is highly breathable and supports body ventilation.

Moreover, no matter what type or features you choose, this can be a very attractive way to bring quality sleep with you on trips. It can be an excellent companion when you have to sleep away from home. Of course, depending on the size of the mattress topper, when compactly rolled, it should easily fit in the car.

Functions of mattress toppers

There are several primary and secondary functions of mattress toppers. The most important and primary functions are as follows: improving sleep quality by providing softness or firmness to the existing sleeping surface and compensating for surface irregularities or the feeling of a gap in a sofa-bed. Our mattress toppers are made from materials and in a way that allows them to enhance sleep quality even when they are thin. Therefore, in many cases, this solution is one of the most optimal and effective ways to achieve full rest at minimal costs. After all, purchasing a mattress topper will cost significantly less than replacing a mattress.

The other two functions, which are more secondary, become more important over time. As an additional layer, a mattress topper protects the main mattress from getting dirty. When it needs to be cleaned, it is much easier to maintain a thinner and lighter topper than a thicker and heavier one. Finally, the mattress topper serves as an intermediary between the body and the bed or mattress, absorbing the most contact and friction. In this way, it delays the wear and tear of your main sleeping surface and extends its lifespan.

Orthopedic properties of mattress toppers

Poor sleep and fatigue upon waking do not necessarily mean that your sleeping surface is bad, worn out, and no longer usable. Don’t rush to replace your bed or mattress, as we consulted with professional orthopedic specialists when creating our mattress toppers. We learned that often, the body just needs a more stable or more relaxed support, or perhaps slightly better adaptation of the sleep surface to your body contours or more favorable conditions for muscle relaxation.

In other words, maybe all you need is a thin support layer on your sleep surface? Consultations with specialists and finding the best solutions led to fruitful results – our mattress toppers are also orthopedic, and their properties help solve real body discomfort problems during sleep.

The viscoelastic Memospace® material, created by NASA for astronauts, softly absorbs the body and creates a sense of lightness by reducing the load on the body. On the other hand, the polyurethane Lono-Tec® material provides the body with firmness and greater support during sleep. These needs are highly individual, so we gather knowledge, accumulate experience, and create products that best respond to your sleep habits and needs.

Antiallergic properties of mattress toppers

One of the most unpleasant things that can occur during sleep or when waking up is an allergic reaction to various allergens in the sleeping environment. That’s why we developed the special Lonofibre® technology to protect against such unwanted experiences during sleep. Each of our mattress toppers is encased in a cover with Lonofibre®. The cover consists of an additional cushioning layer that maintains cleanliness and hygiene. Dust mites do not thrive in the protective layer, and the flax inside accelerates moisture evaporation. If needed, the cover can easily be unzipped and removed for washing.

The mattress toppers themselves also contain an additional preventive material that prevents allergens from thriving. Made from highly breathable Lono-Tec® II material, our toppers completely reject mold, fungus, and dust mites. The washable cover ensures hygiene as often as desired. Therefore, antiallergic mattress toppers are a quality solution for those looking for excellent hygiene conditions.

So, how to choose the best mattress topper?

Here’s a helpful guideline for choosing the right mattress topper:

  1. Assess the existing sleeping surface – is it too soft or too hard?
  2. Decide on your desired level of softness or firmness.
  3. Choose a material that best suits your sleep preferences: choose Memospace® if you want soft, body-conforming comfort, or Lono-Tec® if you need firmer support.
  4. Consider your body temperature preferences – breathable materials like Lono-Tec® are great for warm sleepers.
  5. Pick a topper size that matches your bed.
  6. Check the quality of the materials to ensure durability and comfort.
  7. Read customer reviews to see how others have rated the product.

By considering these points, you can find the ideal mattress topper that will transform your sleeping experience into something much more comfortable.
